After the inauguration of different roller coasters, the theme park will open a family attraction to educate children about caring for nature.

Sea World, long known for its animal rescue work, hopes to spread that message to younger theme park guests with a new attraction called Rescue Jr. What will it be about? In it, children will participate in a training camp and a simulated animal rescue ship.

The new attraction, scheduled to open in the spring, will replace the old Sesame Street playground, located near the park entrance and across from the stadium for the dolphin show.

Designed specifically for younger children, Rescue Jr. will offer a series of educational components to familiarize them with Sea World's long-standing animal rescue work, all made more entertaining through interactive play zones. and rides like the Rescue Rafter and Tidal Twister.

Late spring and early summer (Northern Hemisphere) is when SeaWorld typically introduces new rides, and the park is planning another new roller coaster: Arctic Rescue, an attraction that will allow riders to experience the sensation of driving a snowmobile. at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour along a 850 meter long track.

While Arctic Rescue will appeal to older thrill seekers, Rescue Jr. is geared towards the younger crowd.

Rescue Bay Splash Zone

This is where a large ship will be docked surrounded by a training ground and a water play area. Children will be able to go through an agility course made up of colorful geometric sculptures and interactive elements in the shape of a buoy that will spray and splash the children with water.

An obstacle course

It will serve for rescue training consisting of three play areas, including a net structure that will rise into the sky and lead to one of three training towers connected to each other by swinging net bridges and tunnels. Also planned are Breakwater Bounce, a large area with an inflated airbag floor for jumping, and Tadpole Play, a large open area of ​​soft play for very young children.

Rescue Jr. Play Yard

It will be an area dedicated to rescue drills in which children will be able to experience the rescue process, from receiving an alert call to returning the animals to their natural habitat.

The rest of the new attractions

Among them will be the Rescue Rafter, which simulates a rescue boat with undulating and rotating movements. Another ride, Rescue Riders, simulates a jet ski, while Tidepool Twist is a teacup-style ride that moves around a representation of a mudflat. At the end of the tour, informative graphics will allow children to learn more about the marine life that is often found in the mudflats.
