Minion Land will officially open on August 11 at Universal Orlando Resort
Universal Orlando Resort's new themed area will be inspired by the helpers from the Despicable Me movie. In a few days it will be inaugurated to give more magic to park visitors.
Universal Orlando Resort revealed that Minion Land at Illumination Avenue will officially open on August 11, 2023 at Universal Studios Floria. Currently in guest preview, Minion Land was created in collaboration between the visionary teams at Universal Creative and Illumination, and brings to life a new level of Minions antics and devilish fun.
This unique area expands on the popular Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction, and will feature a new collection of fun-filled adventures for the whole family inspired by the beloved Minions franchise.
In Illumination's Villain-Con Minion Blast, guests can blast their way to supervillain stardom. Combining immersive settings, interactive game-based technology, and an original story, this one-of-a-kind attraction tests guests' villain skills to see if they have what it takes to become members of the Vicious 6 - a famous group of supervillains from the hit movie “Minions: The Rise of Gru.”
Guests can fill up their tanks to prepare for mayhem at Illumination's Minion Cafe, a new restaurant run by the Minions that offers inventive dishes for all guests; Pop-A-Nana, a kiosk offering banana-flavored popcorn; Freeze Ray Pops, a storefront serving colorful and refreshing snacks; and Bake My Day, a shop and bakery offering a unique selection of Minion-themed treats.
In the new Evil Stuff shop everyone will be able to find the necessary items to complete their villainous transformation. Visitors can also stop by the exterior facade of the Illumination Theater to meet, greet, and interact with beloved characters like the Minions, Gru, Margo, Edith, and Agnes from the "Despicable Me" franchise, and Rosita, Gunter, and Johnny from the hit movie " sing."
