New Zealand: a destination chosen by millennials

New Zealand is a trend for its magical and inspiring landscapes, for its paradisiacal beaches and for its natural beauty.

New Zealand is the destination chosen by millennials, not only because today it is viable to arrive with direct daily flights from Argentina, but also because a Visa is not required for Argentines.

It is also a highly visited destination due to the diversity of landscapes that can be found and the variety of activities offered by each of the tourist spots. The land of the Lord of the Rings is home to adventure, mystery, culture and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.

What to see in New Zealand

Do you like faraway places, incredible natural landscapes, endless green or just Lord of the Rings? If so, New Zealand is your place.

Auckland

It is a place that perfectly combines nature and the city. It is also a paradise for shopaholics, since you can find everything from high-end clothing stores to open-air street markets.

It has vacation islands to explore, such as the Hauraki Gulf, which is reached by ferry in 40 minutes. The calm waters of the gulf, the sea and all its attractions, make the so-called City of Sails famous.

An ideal destination for fans of water sports and the ocean, because you can watch whales and dolphins, go kayaking or surfing.

For the more adventurous, you can do activities such as bungy jumping, jet skiing, skydiving, mountain biking or canoeing. Finally enjoy top quality food and wine on its beautiful beaches, especially on Waiheke Island or West Auckland.

Waitomo and its caves

Beneath the green hills of Waitomo lies a maze of caves, chasms and underground rivers. The name of the area comes from the Maori words wai (water) and tomo (hole).

The walls of these caves are decorated with a galaxy of native fireflies.

The caves originated from the pressure exerted by underground currents on the soft limestone for thousands of years. In many of them, from the sky and the ground, impressive stalactites and stalagmites appear, pointed cones of stratified rocks, formed by the dripping of water over centuries.

Rotorua

This is the site of the fascinating Maori culture, hot springs and boiling mud pools. You cannot stop making a stop at this marvel.

Rotorua is one of the places where the turbulent forces that formed New Zealand are most evident. This city, on the volcanic plateau, has one of the most agitated fields of geothermal activity in the world and sits directly on the Pacific Ring of Fire.

Rotorua is also the ancestral home of the Te Arawa people, who settled there over 600 years ago, and their presence offers visitors a variety of cultural experiences. Taste a hangi feast, cooked on the steaming ground; take a tour of an authentic pre-European Maori village; or treat yourself to a pampering spa therapy.

If you're looking for adventure, Rotorua has plenty of attractions to get your adrenaline pumping, from skydiving and luge to sphere diving and one of New Zealand's best mountain biking courses.

Hobbiton Movie Set

In Matamata, 2 hours from Auckland or 1 hour from Rotorua, you can experience the real Middle-earth with a visit to the Hobbiton Movie Set, where The Lord of the Rings movies and The Hobbit Raglan trilogy were filmed - it lies to the west of Hamilton.

A beach that with its incredible black sands accompanies the 55-meter Bridal Veil waterfall, which is only 10 minutes away. It is ideal for surf lovers due to its panoramic view.

Cathedral Cove

From beautiful Hahei Beach, you can walk to Cathedral Cove, where you'll find a natural archway that deserves photographic attention.

From the north end of the beach, a one-hour walking trail takes you over the top of the cliff and down to the cove. Here, a cavern with a giant archway passes through a headland of white rocks to join two remote inlets.

The cathedral-like arcade gives the area an overall air of splendor. The beach is sandy, with pohutukawa trees providing shade: it is a perfect place for a picnic and swimming.

Queenstown

The town is located on the shore of the pristine Lake Wakatipu, between imposing mountain ranges. The landscape of lakes and mountains invites all kinds of adventures.

Skiing is practiced in winter and activities such as bungy jumping, skydiving, canyon swinging, jet ski sailing, horseback riding and rafting are available all year round. If you don't like rough adventures, there are plenty of quieter options available.

Enjoy one of the many hiking and hiking trails, take scenic tours, or indulge in spa treatments, boutique shopping, and exceptional food and wine.

Milford Sound

Located on the west coast of the South Island, Milford Sound is a fusion of spectacular natural features and stunning visual detail at every turn.

Described by Rudyard Kipling as the "eighth wonder of the world", Milford Sound was carved by glaciers during the Ice Age. Milford Sound is stunning in any weather. The fjord's cliffs rise vertically from the dark waters, mountain tops claw at the sky, and the water cascades down, some as deep as 1,000 meters. When it rains in Milford Sound, which it often does, the waterfalls multiply to magnificent effect.

Boat rides, during the day or at night, are a great way to experience the place. The more adventurous might also like to go kayaking, scuba diving, or take scenic flights.

New Zealand has many activities and landscapes that can only be found in this geographical point. Not only for the millennial generation, but also for all those travelers who want to live new experiences and adventures.
