About Disney Resorts Hotels : Walt Disney World Resort offers a wide range of accommodations – 24 resorts ranging in price – that allows guests to pay for the services that are important to them. With more than 8,000 rooms across four resorts, nearly one-third of Disney hotel accommodations fall into the Economy category. Families who prefer to be outdoors can rent a campsite at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground (with nearly 800 available) and pitch a tent or bring a recreational vehicle.
Room rates vary depending on when the guest visits. The Economy Season, which takes place during select weeks throughout the year, offers lower rates than the holiday season or high season. Economic Seasons often coincide with theme parks with fewer visitors, which means less time in line and more time having fun!
Weeknight accommodations (Sunday night to Thursday night) sometimes have lower rates than Friday and Saturday nights. In each hotel, room rates vary according to the view of the balcony or terrace. For example, at Disney's Polynesian Resort guests can choose between garden, lagoon or Magic Kingdom views. Rooms with lagoon and Magic Kingdom views cost more than those with garden views.

Many families with young children select accommodations at one of the “monorail resorts” – Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Resort or Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The reason: close location to the Magic Kingdom and convenient monorail transportation between the resorts and the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
Those traveling without children, on the other hand, enjoy the proximity to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios of Disney's Yacht Club Resort, Disney's Beach Club Resort and Disney's BoardWalk – as well as the nightlife of Disney's BoardWalk. Trails and water taxis connect the three resorts to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
