A stadium worthy of a new era
Miami Freedom Park will feature a 25,000-seat stadium designed to offer a first-class experience to soccer fans. Located near Miami Airport, it will replace the current DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale and will mark a turning point in the club's history.
"With Inter Miami, my family set out to build something truly transformative. In just four years, we've changed the perception of soccer in the United States and globally. Now, with Freedom Park, we seek to elevate that vision even further," said Jorge Mas, team owner .
A project with a community vision
Beyond the stadium, Freedom Park will be a 131-acre multipurpose space combining sports, recreation, and entertainment . The cornerstone of the project is a 58-acre public park, the largest in the city, with green areas, trails, and soccer and track fields geared toward local youth.
The goal is for this space to benefit both fans and the wider community, offering activities and events throughout the year. "I can't wait to welcome our fans and hear their chants when Messi and the team take to the field for the first time in 2025," Mas added.
A comprehensive entertainment center
Freedom Park will not only be home to Inter Miami, but also an entertainment and tourism destination. The complex will include offices, hotels, shops, and restaurants, with an offering designed to appeal to a diverse audience.
Devon McCorkle, a megaproject specialist and president of Miami Freedom Park, highlighted the magnitude of the interest the project has generated. "Lionel Messi's impact on Inter Miami has been impressive. The number of inquiries we've received demonstrates the enthusiasm for what we're building," he noted.
A top-level team for a unique project
To ensure the success of Freedom Park, the club has assembled a team of experts in sports infrastructure and urban development. Miami-based firm Arquitectonica will be responsible for the architectural design, while Manica, a specialist in stadiums and sports arenas, will contribute its experience in creating world-class venues. Project management will be handled by CAA Icon, a firm widely recognized for the execution of large-scale sports infrastructure.
Construction is being carried out in phases and is currently in the earthworks and site preparation phase. Work is expected to progress well to meet the planned opening date of 2025.
An impact beyond sport
Freedom Park will not only transform soccer in Miami , but will redefine the relationship between sport, community, and entertainment. With a world-class infrastructure and a comprehensive concept, the project promises to become an urban icon and a benchmark for the future of stadiums in the United States.
As construction progresses, anticipation grows among fans and the community, who see this project as a unique opportunity to consolidate Miami's position as one of the world's great soccer capitals.
