Pirate's Island Golf: Orlando's Best Mini Golf in 2026 with Family
We visited Pirate's Island in Kissimmee, Orlando, as a family with grandparents. A fun, relaxing, and charming outing that all generations enjoyed. Perfect for doing together.
Amidst the lights, theme parks and adrenaline of Orlando, we discovered a different, relaxed activity perfect for sharing between children, adults and grandparents: a game of mini golf at Pirate's Island , located in Kissimmee , very close to the main hotels and attractions.
Completely renovated, we were surprised by the quality of its facilities and an incredible scenic design, among "mountains", pits and waterfalls, with a long schedule that allows you to play even at night, to end the day with pure fun.
Why it's the best mini golf course in Orlando in 2026
We went to Pirate's Island Golf as a family—parents, children, and grandparents—without knowing what to expect, and we were delighted. We visited in January, around dinnertime, and enjoyed playing by moonlight, without any rush or heat.
The place is much more than a mini-golf course: it's a scenic route set in the world of pirates, with waterfalls, bridges, caves, tropical vegetation and statues of corsairs and galleons that create a magical atmosphere.
Furthermore, everything is impeccably maintained and designed for people of all ages to enjoy. From children playing pirates to seniors seeking a peaceful outdoor activity, Pirate's Island Golf is a place to reconnect across generations.
What does Pirate's Island Golf offer in Kissimmee?
This location is part of the Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf chain , but it has its own identity and local charm. It features two distinct 18-hole courses , each with a different level of difficulty:
- Captain's Course : ideal for those seeking a more accessible challenge and more open landscapes.
- Blackbeard's Challenge : a bit more technical, with passageways, elevations and ingenious shots.
We chose the Captain's Course , and it was perfect for playing together, even with my in-laws, who enjoyed every hole without any difficulty. The fairways are comfortable, there's shade in several sections, and benches for resting. Plus, the themed settings make each shot different and fun.
A plan that unites everyone: grandchildren, children, and grandparents
One of the things we value most is that this activity is inclusive. You don't need to be skilled or have any prior experience: just a desire to have a good time, laugh for a while, and take the time to enjoy yourself.
Our children played enthusiastically, inventing challenges and celebrating every shot. The grandparents reminisced about their vacation days playing mini-golf, and we took the opportunity to do something outdoors without lines, noise, or rushing.
Furthermore, the entire area is clean, safe, and pleasant. There's soft music, friendly staff, and a very family-friendly atmosphere. On a trip where many attractions require long walks or strict planning, this was a perfect respite , where the important thing was simply being together.Best vacation packages
