Opera has launched “ Hygge Desk ”, an exclusive experience that will allow 10 people to live and work remotely for six days in a cozy Scandinavian cabin, surrounded by the stunning natural landscapes of Norway.

“ Hygge ” is a Nordic term that represents the idea of enjoying the simple and pleasant moments of life, whether in the company of loved ones or alone, away from everyday stress. With this initiative, Opera seeks to demonstrate that a calm and inspiring environment can improve productivity and well-being at work.

Those selected will enjoy a fully covered stay, including round-trip flights, car rental and private accommodation in cabins located in iconic destinations such as Lysefjord, Lofoten, Norefjell, Bodø and Ålesund . These locations not only offer spectacular scenery, but also the perfect environment to work in peace.

Opera also invites its users to recreate the “Hygge” spirit at home through its browser, which offers a fluid and relaxing browsing experience with designs inspired by Scandinavian nature.

How to apply?

Interested applicants can submit their application through Opera's website , explaining in an original and creative way why they deserve to be chosen for this unique experience.

Applications will be open until February 28, 2025, while the winners will be announced on March 5. The internships will take place between March and April 2025.
