Magical changes: Universal Orlando modernizes its Harry Potter land 2025
Guests will be immersed in the magic of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, featuring all-new wands, enhanced spellcasting locations, customization and more.
In March, Universal Orlando Resort will bring even more magic to its popular interactive wand experiences at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Guests will be able to enjoy a new collection of interactive wands, part of the Second Generation, that feature light and touch effects for the first time .
Additionally, a personalized experience will be available on the Universal Orlando Resort app and there will be new spell-casting locations in Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure, Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida and Place Cachée at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic at Universal Epic Universe as the new theme park opens later this year. The new interactive wands will go on sale beginning March 1.
Second Generation of Wands
Available in four designs, the new collection of interactive wands is further enhanced and includes several new features, including lighting effects and custom haptic vibrations for each spell, so guests can see and feel the results of their magic like never before.
Uniquely boxed with an explosion icon, each wand will include a spell map, outlining locations where guests can practice magic, as well as information on how to use Universal Play, available on the Universal Orlando Resort app, to make things even more magical.

With the new range of interactive wands, guests will have the chance to experience the magic throughout The Wizarding World of Harry Potter like never before. By connecting the wand to Universal Play on the Universal Orlando Resort app, guests will have the opportunity to experience an even more incredible experience, including:
Personalization: Guests can personalize their magical story with their own wizard profile, where they can select their wizard name, Hogwarts house, avatar and patronus. When casting spells in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the attributes selected will be integrated into the effects of your cast, creating a personalized experience for each person.
New Harry Potter themed world 2025
Signature Adventures:Guests can explore signature adventures varying in specialization level and completion time that will improve their Wizarding Level and mastery of magic within The Wizarding World.
House Points – Visitors can earn points for their Hogwarts House with each spell and follow other witches and wizards to see where they fit on the leaderboard. With each visit, visitors will be able to track their House Points and progress through the Wizarding Level, as well as their achievements and spells through Universal Play. The higher the Wizarding Level, the more spells and adventures will be unlocked. Each day, a House Cup will be awarded to the House that acquires the most points.
